Ross on the Rise

Ross on the Rise

Perhaps it was simply his turn in the rotation. Maybe it was just a case of being the better option. It could have been all part of the plan. No matter the explanation, Bulldog sophomore wideout Fred Ross caught a season best five passes last weekend against Kentucky. With several talented options around him, the Texas native made the most of his chances when his number was called.

Love Looking to Make Plays

Swain Considering Several Options

Maurice Swain signed with Indiana as a member of the class of 2012. Now enrolled at Mississippi Gulf Coast community college, Swain is one of the most highly sought after junior college defensive lineman in the country. With offers from several Big 5 programs, Swain has some serious thinking to do. A trio of SEC schools appear to be setting the recruiting pace as we prepare for the home stretch.

Palmeiro: “I Think Championship Is Coming”

During Friday evening’s reception and informal dinner for the 1985 Diamond Dog team, as well as members of many other squads over the years, Rafael Palmeiro graciously gave a few minutes to Bob Carskadon of MSU Media Relations, Michael Bonner of the Clarion Ledger, and Dawgs’ Bite.

Palmeiro’s Main MSU Memory: “Just Winning”

Rafael Palmeiro has been back to campus several times since moving on from his all-star career as a Diamond Dog to a, well, an even longer and greater All-Star career in Major League Baseball. Usually though the Mississippi State great has kept the profile low so as to enjoy the trip.
